World Tour in 3×3 Basketball continues this weekend after the first tournament in Utsunomiya. Up won their first competition in the prestigious World Tour in an exciting final against Princeton. They gave us a lot of entertainment and quality during the first weekend of something that promises to be the best season in history.
Masters in the Philippines is taking action on 28th May and 14 squads are going to participate from Saturday. There will be 12 teams in the global and the important notice is that the three best-ranked teams are going to play.
Masters will consist of four groups with three teams and one team will be decided in the group of three teams that play against each other at the beginning of the tournament. Those are Yokohama, Auckland, and Melbourne.
There is no clear favorite to win this Philippines competition because the quality and competition have raised a lot. Three teams stand out when we are talking about the potential title. First is, of course, Ub with exceptional Strahinja Stojacic and Dejan Majstorovic. They are experienced players who won what is needed for lifting the trophy.
The second one is Belgian Antwerp with widely praised Thibaut Vervoort. If he gets all the required help from Nick Celis we can expect high limits of this club. Antwerp is always close to success and maybe this station will be happy for them.
The third favorite among teams is also Liman, the Serbian team. They lost to their compatriots Ub in the last tournament quarterfinal. It seems that fact will not shake them negatively as they are targeting the crown. We know they are capable to do so with a squad consisting of Stefan Kojic and Mihailo Vasic, recognizable faces in this sport.
Players who should be on the radar upcoming weekend are players from Mongolian teams. Those are interesting Gan-Erden-Gantsolmon from Zaisan and the 25-year-old Anand Ariunbold from Sansar.
