The draft pool was finally held in the glamourous Microsoft Lounge in Los Angeles. There was a spectacular program with a lot of interviews with former NBA legends. Basketball experts were commenting on new players in the studio live with a bunch of relevant observations. Ice Cube, co-author of Big3 was announcing what pick has every team chosen at night we have been all waiting for.
As mentioned before, Power could choose first because Nancy Lieberman draw the ball with number 1 at the draft lottery couple of days earlier.
Nancy used this chance well and she picked Glen Pike Junior as her first option. He is an athletic, mobile, and perspective player. It’s expected of him to shine bright this season and add more dynamics to this squad. Their second acquisition was T.J Cline, Nancy Lieberman’s son. T.J Cline is a versatile player, he is ready to play strong offense and defense and this high IQ Power team is going to be hard to beat.
A couple of words on moves of last season’s finalist Trilogy and One Headed Monsters on this draft. They had one pick to choose from by the regulations of Fireball Big 3. Trilogy picked David Hawkins, 39 years old, who is a strong player and serious player with a high level of understanding of this league. The pick for One Headed Monsters was AB N’Doye.
Corey Brewer who we praised in recent news was picked by Bivouac in the second round. The temperament coach Gary Payton, the former player who spend the majority of his career in Seattle Supersonics, said that he appreciates qualities of Corey and that he expects his team can attack the final four this season in the Bahamas Their choice in the first round was Jeff Ayres who is at age 35, but still, he can score important shots and with the likes of Captain Gerald Green things look promising indeed for Bivouac.
It’s important to point out that Tu Lawson surprisingly was not chosen by any team in this season’s draft.
