Alex Wilson was named MVP of the FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup 2024 after helping lead all-powerful Australia to a title defense on March 31.
The 30-year-old topped player-value (43.7) to power Australia’s unbeaten run as they claimed their fourth Asia Cup title with victory over New Zealand in a tough final.
Wilson, who was part of Australia’s triumph last year, showcased tenacious defense throughout and she also hit a clutch late two-pointer to sink New Zealand.
She was joined in the Team of the Tournament by Sharne Pupuke-Robati, who achieved the feat for the second straight year, and Ariuntsetseg Bat-Erdene, who led Mongolia to a bronze medal.
Todd Blanchfield capped a brilliant FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup 2024 with MVP honors after leading Australia to their fourth title on March 31.
Blanchfield, who won silver last year, was the talisman for a new-look Australia, who easily beat Iran in the final. He finished with a leading 47 points and he also topped player value with 51.1.
He was joined in the Team of the Tournament by Iran’s Ehsan Dalirzahan and Anand Ariunbold, who came up big in the bronze medal game for Mongolia.
