Everything is ready for Utrecht Masters

World Tour 2022 is continuing after a short break with Utrecht Masters. Netherland is hosting the big tournament on World Tour for the first time. Seventh Masters in 2022 is set to go and the best 3×3 basketball players will gather in the center of Dutch city. Let’s shortly preview what is awaiting us on September 24-25.

Twelve teams will take part in the main draw in Masters in Utrecht. There will be four pools of three teams. One member of group D will be decided in qualifications on Saturday between Ventspils, Constanta, and Venice.

September 24th will be the date for fixtures in the group stage. It is planned for 12 fixtures to be played in groups A, B, C, and D. Two best teams in each pool will proceed to the quarterfinals. Many teams are aiming at the title in Netherland, so let’s see quickly who the biggest contenders from each pool are.

LimanLublin, and Paris will participate in group AMarijampoleUtrecht, and Antwerp will be members in pool BPartizanIJmuiden, and Amsterdam will compete in group CSakaiVienna, and a team from qualifications draw will have a contest for a place in Final 8 in pool D.

Quarterfinals, semifinals, and final game are scheduled to be played on September 25, 2022.

Liman, the Serbian team, is not showing their class in the Masters. Serbian guys are shinning on Challengers where they have won unbelievable 25 games in a row. Mihailo Vasic, World and Europe champion, is returning in the Liman’s squad and makes them the favorite No. 1 of group A and the whole tournament.

Pool B has Antwerp as a potential winner. The Belgian team won shockingly the Debrecen Masters and defeated Ub in the final game. Thibaut Vervoort aka “Must See TV” will be absent and it will weaken them tremendously.

Amsterdam HiPro is among the biggest favorites in the Utrecht Masters. Arvin Slagter and Dimeo van der Horst, a powerful duo, led Netherland to the bronze medal during Europe Cup 2022. This team showed consistency in 2022 and got to the semifinal on each of the three Masters they have participated in the World Tour 2022.
