Ub is having a tremendous season after they won another Masters in the World Tour 2022. Switzerland was a place where the Serbian team shined on more time like the brightest star. It’s the fourth big tournament in which Dejan Majstorovic and his teammates were the best in 2022. So, let’s preview briefly what the tournament looked like.
The tournament started with a shock in the first round of the group stage. Lausanne defeated Ub with 21-20. The 14-gamewinning streak of the Serbian team was stopped when they least expected it. The winner from the previous three Masters recovered and won the game against San Juan with 21-10.
Ub and Lausanne qualified from group A to the quarterfinals. Liman and Jeddah progressed from pool B to the Final 8. Ulaanbaatar and Antwerp were first-placed and second-placed teams in group C. Amsterdam and Sakiai got tickets for the elimination phase from pool D.
The quarterfinals were exciting and entertaining for supporters. Lausanne defeated Antwerp with 20-19. Amsterdam pulled out a 17-13 victory over Jeddah. Liman beat Sakiai with 21-16. Ub won against Ulaanbaatar with 21-17.
Semifinals provided huge entertainment for spectators. Lausanne won against Amsterdam with 21-16. Ub defeated Liman with 21-16 in a Serbian clash.
The final game was between Lausanne and Ub. It was a replay of the first game in the final tournament. Team from Serbia switched the gear in the decisive game and we saw a different picture on the court. Ub beat the Lausanne with 21-15 and clinched the trophy.
Dejan Majstorovic had 8 points on his account and Strahinja Stojacic scored 6 points for the winning team. Gilles Martin, Lausanne player, scored 7 points. It was insufficient for making another upset of favorite. .

Strahinja Stojacic got the MVP award and was the best scorer with 44 points. It was the ninth edition of Lausanne Masters, an event held by Lake Geneva. Debrecen Masters will be organized next weekend.
