Paris Masters stunned everyone as dark horse Vienna lifted the trophy. We are now moving to the next station of the World Tour 2022 – Saudi Arabia. City Riyadh will be hosting Masters and gathering the best 3×3 players in the world next weekend.
The culmination of the season and Final Masters in Abu Dhabi is near and the fewer of spectators is growing enormously. Let’s see what we can expect on November 11-12.
Twelve teams will participate in the main competition in the Saudi Arabian capital. There will be four pools of three teams in the Riyadh Masters 2022. One member of pool D will be determined in the qualifications. Members of the qualifying draw are Changhua, Riyadh, and Okayama.
We expect to see 12 pool fixtures that will be played on November 11 and the two best teams ranked highest in each group will proceed to the quarterfinals.
Ub, Cebu, and Doha are members of group A.
Riga, Utrecht, and Lusail will compete for two spots in the elimination stage in pool B.
Antwerp, Omaha, and St.Louis will battle for the best 8 in group C.
Jeddah, Vienna, and the winner of the qualifying draw participate in pool D.
Quarterfinals, semifinals, and final game are scheduled for November 12, 2022.
Ub is No.1 seed and won the first four Masters, but they are struggling in World Tour in the recent period. The Serbian team will try to regroup and get back to the winning path in pool A. It will not be easy to be the first-placed team in the group since the Philippines team Cebu is a big threat.
Riga, the No. 2 seed, is having the best time of the year after winning four titles and 20 consecutive games. Powerful duo Lasmanis and Miezis are firing from all weapons and everything except the first place in the pool would be a surprise. Utrecht will try to upset the Latvian team in pool B.
Belgian team Antwerp won the fifth Masters of the season in Debrecen. The no. 3 seed relies on Thibaut Vervoort and Dennis Donkor in hope of winning group C. They will have two American obstacles on the road to the goal – Omaha and St. Louis.
Vienna is seed No.4 and their performance led by Stefan Stojacic in Paris was unforgettable. The Austrian club is having Quincy Diggs who is also difficult to guard. Jeddah, the Saudi Arabian team, started to play better recently and will be a big opponent to Vienna in group D.
