Spectators could feel the atmosphere of fixtures in Masters after more than one month. The tenth tournament in the World Tour 2022 was held in the Saudi Arabian city of Riyadh on November 11-12, 2022.
Riga continued their winning streak and won the third consecutive Masters. The Latvian team added to that trophy triumphs in Super Quest and Challenger in the last two months. Let’s briefly take a look at what happened in this competition.
Changhua, Riyadh, and Okayama competed in the qualification draw on November 11-12. Team Changhua was the best team in the ranking and qualified for the main tournament.\
Ub and Doha were the first-placed and second-placed teams in pool A.
Riga and Utrecht qualified for the elimination phase in group B.
Omaha and Antwerp earned tickets in pool C for the Top 8.
Vienna and Jeddah proceeded to the quarterfinals from group D.
The quarterfinals were mostly thrilling and they were scheduled for November 12th, 2022.
Ub won against Antwerp with 21-18 in the first quarterfinal. Vienna beat Utrecht with 21-19. Riga defeated Jeddah with 22-17. Omaha pulled out a 21-17 victory over Doha.
Ub defeated Vienna with 22-14. Riga beat Omaha with 20-18 in the second semifinal.
The final game was played between Latvian Riga and Serbian Ub. Riga started furiously and had a 5-0 advantage at the beginning of the game. After that, Ub began waking up and decreasing the deficit.
The game went into exciting culmination and the result was 19-18 in favor of Riga one minute before the end of the clash. Nauris Miezis, a Latvian team player, scored the decisive two-point shot for 21-19 win. It was a 25-straight win for Karlis Lasmanis and his teammates.

Nauris Miezis was named MVP of the tournament and scored 10 points and 10 rebounds in the final game.
Overall, six teams made it to the Abu Dhabi Final Masters now: Ub, Riga, Liman, Antwerp, Amsterdam, and Vienna.
