Ice Cube, co-founder of the fastest-growing league in the world, openly said that NBA has not been supportive regarding the development of Big3 Fireball basketball. Ice Cube knows thinks that Big3 deserves a little bit more appreciation from people in leading management positions in NBA.
This Fireball league has developed so much since its premiere season in 2017. Fireball has quite different rules compared to the NBA, due to the number of players on the court, the length of the game, etc.
Ice Cube is not satisfied with the NBA’s approach regarding broadcasters and sponsors, and how people from NBA treated him privately behind the scenes, but he points out that he still supports NBA as a league.
Ice Cube thinks that Big3 has done a lot of good things for the promotion of the NBA by including ex-NBA players and their ex-ambassadors in their “product”, but he cannot say the same thing was done oppositely and he wish that NBA should reciprocate because they are not competing with Big3 league which has different rules.
Cube further explains that his project has made great achievements with a constant will for improvement in all fields of this sport. The latest action of Big3 executives was offering Feat (Forever Experience Action Token). The goal of this decision was to bring the league closer to its viewers.
He sees those two leagues as totally complimentary and thinks that the NBA’s latest actions have tarnished the reputation of the Big3 subculture.
Even though he seems a little disappointed with the moves of NBA executives, he still watches the most glamorous national league in classic 5×5 basketball. Ice strongly supports Los Angeles Lakers. He even chose four players of the Lakers in his all-time starting five. Cube made a lot of controversy by excluding Michael Jordan, the greatest player in basketball history.
