World Tour 2022 ended with an Abu Dhabi Final Masters last weekend. The 11th edition of this prestigious event contained 12 Masters tournaments and provided huge excitement to the supporters. It started with Utsunomiya Opener and had many amazing moments which will be stuck in the brain of passionate fans.
We can conclude that this edition justified the expectations of all experts and that popularity of this sport is increasing every year.
The Ub became champion of Abu Dhabi and won Final Masters for the first time in their history. We can proudly say they are the best team in the world. Let’s briefly talk about what we witnessed the previous weekend.
Saturday, December 10, was reserved for group stage games.
Ub and Ulaanbaatar were first-placed and second-placed teams respectively in pool A.
Vienna and Omaha got tickets for the elimination stage in group B.
Antwerp and Lausanne progressed to the quarterfinals from pool C.
Riga and Amsterdam qualified for the Top 8 stage in group D.
The quarterfinals were scheduled for play on December 11, 2022.
In the first quarterfinal, Ub won against Lausanne with 22-16. Amsterdam beat Omaha with 16-15. Vienna defeated Riga with 21-17. Antwerp pulled out a 21-17 victory against Ulaanbaatar.
Ub beat Amsterdam with 21-14. Vienna won against Antwerp with 20-15 in the last semifinal.
Ub and Vienna fought for the title of the best team in the world. The game was very entertaining from the start till the very end. Ub, the Serbian team, pulled out a 21-18 victory for the title. This trophy is a result of the massive effort of all players from Ub.

Marko Brankovic from Ub got the tournament MVP award and Stefan Stojacic, the Vienna player, was the best scorer in the competition with unreal 49 points. Strahinja Stojacic, the younger brother of Stefan Stojacic, received the MVP award for the regular part of the season.
