The playoff of the fifth season of Fireball is coming close and all teams are putting their maximum efforts to go the Final Four. Five rounds are behind us in something that has to be one of the most interesting seasons of Big3 so far. The sixth round started on Saturday, 23 July with three fixtures in Comerica Center in Texas, Dallas.
Ghost Ballers defeated Triplets with 50-42. Mike Taylor from the winning team Ghost Ballers scored unbelievable 20 points. Chris Johnson and Jermaine Taylor, his teammates, both finished with 12 points and joined Mike in a brilliant performance of Ghost Ballers. The news of the retirement of Iso Joe, Triplets star, disappointed Triplets fans and they are going weaker for the rest of the season. Ghost Ballers have a 3-3 score, while Triplets have two wins and four defeats.
Trilogy beat Enemies with 50-38. Trilogy had 9 offensive rebounds and they physically dominated their opponents in this game. Isaiah Briscoe, Trilogy’s player, despite struggling at first, found shooting form later in the game. It was enough for a convincing victory over Enemies. Enemies are having a problem with shooting and they had only 7 defensive rebounds. Trilogy has four wins and two losses, while Enemies have 2-4 score in Big3 standings.
3’s Company pulled out a 50-47 victory over Ball Hogs. Michael Beasley was on fire as he scored 16 points, made 12 rebounds, and had 8 assists. 3’s Company was leading 25-7 at halftime. In the second half, Ball Hogs woke up and started to decrease the advantage of 3’s Company. Jodie Meeks, Ball Hogs star, finished the game with amazing 29 points. Leandro Barbosa didn’t play for Ball Hogs and that made a maybe crucial difference. 3’s Company now has a 3-3 score, while Ball Hogs have one win and five losses.
