The second round of Big3 Fireball was played last weekend

The second weekend of Big3 Fireball has been long-awaited. Spectators and supporters could finally enjoy the great moves and actions of their favorite player. The first three games were played on Saturday.

In the first clash, we saw a fixture between Tri State and 3’s Company.  Jason Richardson returned to the team after missing the first round due to Covid19 protocols. Jason was inspired for dunking and he positively influenced his teammates. Justin Dentmon and DaJuan Summers scored together 30 points. Tri State beat 3’s Company with 51-35. Here is a short preview of that game:

Triplets and Aliens were involved in the second match of Saturday’s program.  Triplets won against Aliens with 50-33.  The victory was never in doubt as brothers Jannero and Jeremy Pargo from Triplets steamrolled powerless Aliens.  The brothers Pargo scored 35 points overall from different positions. Aliens were missing Karlis Lasmanis who was on the World Cup and Dusan Bulut was not in the mood that night. You can watch best moments from that game here:

Ghost Ballers defeated Ball Hogs with 50-43. Mike Taylor and Chris Johnson, the Ghost Ballers duo, scored 36 points together to clinch a second win in the season. It seems that Ghost Ballers coach George Gervin found their right positions on the court. On the other side, the comeback of Leandro Barbosa for Ball Hogs improved  their performance. That was not enough as they suffered another loss. Here are the best shots from that fixture:

On the second day, there were another three amusing fixtures on schedule.

The first game on Sunday was between Power and Three Headed Monsters. Three Headed Monsters beat Power with 50-44. Rashard Lewis from Three Headed Monsters had his night with 17 points and 70 % of his shots finished in the basket. On the other hand, Power was struggling the whole game as they have scored only three times from free throws out of seven attempts. You can look crucial moments in that game here:

Enemies defeated Bivouac with 52-49. The winner was not decided practically until the last second in something that can become one of the best games of this season. Elijah Stewart, Enemies player, was in a very good shooting form as he contributed the most to the win on Enemies. Gerald Green scored 25 points for Bivouac, but that didn’t help his team to avoid a second defeat in a row. Here is brief look on that game:

The last game of the second round was between two-time champions Trilogy and Killer 3’s. Trilogy won against Killer 3’s with 51-48. Trilogy displayed solid performance and that was enough for the tight win in the end. Earl Clark contributed to the victory with 17 points for Trilogy and Amir Johnson scored a decisive shot. Both Killer 3’s and Trilogy have now score 1-1 on the Big3 standings. You can find best moments from that game here:

Games of the third round will be played in Dallas, Texas on 2rd and 3rd July.
