This Asian country has already held significant competitions in the world of Fiba 3×3. Those were Asia Cup in 2017 and Fiba 3×3 U18 World Cup. Mongolia will also welcome the final of the women’s professional circuit, the FIBA 3X3 Women’s series in 2023.
Asia Cup was organized four times in 2013 and Mongolia was host once, in 2017. Fiba 3×3 U18 World Cup has been taking place since 2011 and Mongolia hosted countries from the whole planet in 2019.
If you don’t know, Mongolia has won a medal (both categories included) at every FIBA 3X3 Asia Cup since 2017 and we can’t deny the fact both man and women’s squads competed at Olympic Games 2021.
The final of the Fiba Nations League competition for males and females who have less than 23 years will also take place in Mongolia in 2023. This will be the sixth edition of a tournament that was launched in 2017 and its opportunity for young talents to show their skills in front of the global stage.
Finally, the 4th edition of the Fiba 3×3 U23 World Cup will be organized in Ulaanbaatar in 2024. Bucharest in Romania will host this year’s third edition of World Cup.
