The moment we have been all waiting for impatiently has happened on Saturday. We had first clash after a lot of preparations, transfers, and optimistic statements of all participants in Fireball. And that was one massive game. The game between Trilogy, last season’s champions, and Triplets with the MVP of the previous season Joe Johnson couldn’t offer anything but attractiveness and thrillers.
The ball started rolling in the fifth season in the most exciting basket 3×3 league in the world in noisy Chicago. Michael Beasley and Joe Johnson marked the previous weekend with their performances.
Triplets beat Trilogy with 51-45. Joe Johnson aka “Iso Joe” scored fascinating 30 points. The majority of the rest of the points for Triplets were scored by Jeremy Pargo. Here are the best moments from that game:
An already mentioned Michael Beasley played incredibly good for his 3’s Company team against Bivouac. He had competition in Gerald Green on the opposing side who scored 26 points. 3’s Company beat Bivouac with 50-47. Here is the short preview of that game:
In the final game of the night, we saw the game between Three Headed Monsters and Ghost Ballers. Kevin Murphy had a show as he lead the scoring list with 28 points, but it was not enough for the win. Darnel Jackson made a final layup and Ghost Ballers beat Three Headed Monsters with 53-50. You can watch best shots from that fixture right here:
The second night started with a clash between European Aliens led by maybe the best player in the world Dusan Bulut and Enemies with the captain and scoring machine Nick Young aka “Swaggy P”. Aliens were dominating throughout the whole game. Aliens beat Enemies with 52-44. Bulletproof and his teammate Karlis Lasmanis collaborated and contributed with 22 and 18 points respectively. Killer 3s beat Ball Hogs with 50-33 . Ball Hogs were playing without their main star Leandro Barbosa as he had duties in Golden State Warriors in the previous week. On the other side, Killer 3s had players in good mood and they steamrolled their rivals. Dominique Johnson and Donte Green scored 31 points together. The last match of the first round was played between Nancy Lieberman’s Power and Tri State. Glen Rice Jr from Power was superior as he finished the game with 23 points on his account. Tri State was missing famous ex-Nba star Jason Richardson and they couldn’t compensate for his absence. Power beat Tri State with 50-35. Most important moments from that game you can look here:
The next round will be played next weekend in Chicago again and we are already looking forward to watching six new games.
