We saw a heated atmosphere and a high-quality tournament in South Korea the previous weekend. Riga continued their excellent form as they clinched the trophy in Sacheon Challenger. The winner and runner-up on this Challenger secured a place in Riyadh Masters in World Tour 2022.
Let’s go through the competition briefly.
Tokyo and Cairo earned tickets for the main draw from qualifying group A. Yesan and Daejeon were the best two teams in qualifying draw B.
The pool stage in the main tournament was played also on Saturday.
Ub and Tokyo proceeded to the quarterfinals from group A.
Liman and Utsunomiya got cards for the elimination stage from pool B
Riga and Warsaw were first-placed and second-placed teams from group C.
Vienna and Sansar qualified in pool D for Best 8 phase.
Quarterfinals, semifinals, and final games were set to be played on October 17, 2022.
In the first quarterfinal, Ub pulled out a 21-17 victory over Warsaw. Vienna beat Utsunomiya with 21-14. Liman won against Sansar with 21-15. Riga defeated Tokyo with 22-10.
The semifinals were interesting like the last sequel of the Halloween movie. Vienna beat Ub with 19-18. Riga won against Liman with 21-10 in the second semifinal.
The final was played between Vienna and NY Riga.
Riga pulled out a 21-15 victory over Vienna in the crucial game of the tournament. It was an easier game for the Latvian guys than the semifinal.
Karlis Lasmanis and Nauris Miezis showed why they are such a hurtful duo for opponents. Quincy Diggs, the Austrian team player, was trying to stop Riga, but it was not sufficient. He had a very good tournament overall.

The top scorer of the tournament was Karlis Lasmanis with scored 39 points. Riga and Vienna joined Antwerp, Jeddah, and Doha QSC in a list of members of the 10th Masters in Saudi Arabia.
