Jeremy Pargo, the younger of the two Pargo brothers

According to experts, NBA is the best national 5×5 basketball league in the world. NBA is a playground for showing hidden talents on one side. On another side, it’s the perfect place for displaying visible playing skills.

Many players are remembered well among passionate basketball fans all over the world. One of them for sure is Jeremy Pargo. He has an older brother Jannero Pargo. Jannero is also a famous basketball player.

We are going to focus our attention on Jeremy today. All eyes are pointed at the younger of the two Pargo brothers now.

Where did Jeremy begin his basketball road?

Jeremy represented team Gonzaga University’s Gonzaga Bulldogs in college basketball.  He got an award for WCC Player of the Year in his junior season in 2008. Jeremy  Pargo finished undrafted in NBA in his first attempt to enter the most prestigious national league on the planet.

After that, Pargo attended the 2009 Las Vegas NBA Summer League. This player performed for Detroit Pistons together with Austin Daye, an ex-colleague from Gonzaga. Hero of our paragraphs played in the Orlando Pro Summer League for the Orlando Magic later but was not able to get a contract with them.

What happened with Pargo in his first professional year?

Pargo had his first professional deal with the Israeli team Hapoel Gilboa Galil Elyon. Jeremy averaged 14.1 points, and 2.9 rebounds and became the idol of the Hapoel fans with his attractive dunks over the opponent’s defenders. He even lifted the trophy in The 2009-10 Israeli Super League championship.

The hero of our story used the summer period to train and play for Charlotte Bobcats in the Orlando Pro Summer League. This player was representing Minnesota in the Las Vegas Summer league soon after.

Pargo agreed with Maccabi Tel Aviv, another Israeli team, to play for them for one year. The signing of Jeremy turned out to be a good move by Maccabi as they reached the final of the Euroleague that season.

How did his career continue?

Pargo put his signature on a two-year contract with Maccabi on May 2011. Despite that, he broke the promise given to the Israeli team and went to Memphis in NBA on December 2011. It was evident that his results in Europe were noticed by NBA scouts.

However, Jeremy was sent to Cleveland together with a right to choose a pick from the second round in the 2014 Draft, while D.J. Kennedy went in the opposite direction.

Cavaliers waived Jeremy Pergo at the beginning of 2013.

This player made a short-term deal with the NBA team Philadelphia on February 2013. The contract between him and the club was extended until the end of the 2012–13 seasons. 76ers hired Justin on Holiday and Jeremy was free to choose a new club.

Where did the career path take him next?

Pargo made a very expensive deal with CSKA, a Russian club on June 2013.

Jeremy and the team from Moscow decided to go separate ways on July 2014. Immediately, this player found a new team signed and renewed collaboration with Maccabi Tel Aviv. Pargo ended his stay in the Israeli team and decided to go to Asia.

Jeremy Pargo agreed on terms with the Chinese club Zhejiang Lions. . It was supposed to play for them in the 2015-2016 season in the Chinese league. His Asian adventure is not worth mentioning.

The hero of our paragraphs returned to Europe and agreed to play in the Italian league for Venezia for the rest of the 2015/2016 season.

What was his next destination?

This player agreed on conditions with the Chinese club Shenzhen Leopards. One year later, he moved to another Chinese team Nanjing.

Pargo was transferred to Santa Cruz Warriors in the NBA G league. Jeremy changed teams frequently in this period of his career. Ultimately, Jeremy Pargo ended up in Lebanon and represented Champville SC.

Did Pargo play one more time in Maccabi?

His third tenure with Maccabi was spectacular. Jeremy put his signature on April 2018 on a deal that obliged him to play until the end of the 2017/2018 season. Pargo had 26 points on his account in a fixture and win against Ironi Nes Ziona.

Jeremy scored amazing 20 points in the last 10 minutes of the game. Jeremy Pargo added 4 rebounds and 4 assists to his result. He contributed to a title in the league that season in a huge manner.

What occurred with Jeremy after the lucrative 2017/2018 season?

Pargo extended collaboration with Maccabi for one more season. Maccabi star led them one more time to the trophy in the Israeli league. It was the second consecutive victory for him and it was time for changing environment.

His second tenure with Santa Cruz Warriors started in November 2019. Pargo had an unforgettable performance against South Bay Lakers in December of the same year.

Everything happened very quickly in Pargo’s basketball life back then. Jeremy signed for Golden State on February 2020. It was his first appearance after six years in NBA. Jeremy Pargo scored 15 points in a defeat against Phoenix.

Which step did Pargo take after the Golden State experience?

Jeremy represented Hapoel and Maccabi Rishon LeZion in the Israeli Premier League in 2020 and 2021 respectively. Pargo was wearing a Napoli shirt in the Italian league.

Jeremy Pargo had 9.6 points and 3.6 assists on his account per game during his stay in Italy. Their ways went separately after January 2022. This player went to Windy City Bulls to play in NBA G League in 2022.

Does Jeremy Pargo have Big3 experience?

The person who inspired me to write the story had some experience in the 2019 season of Fireball. He substituted injured Cuttino Mobley in Power’s shirt.

Jeremy averaged 16 points in the third season of this popular 3×3 competition. Power lost to Killer 3’s in the semifinal and took fourth place overall.

Where did Jeremy go after the 2019 season in Fireball?

This 3×3 star was picked by 3’s Company in the 2021 draft pool.  Watch here one of the best Jeremy’s performances in a full game:

3’s Company ended the regular part of the season with 2 wins and 4 losses and that was not enough for qualifying for the playoff. It was the disappointing outcome of the season for the board and Pargo himself. Club and Jeremy agreed to part ways. That was a time for Jeremy Pargo to find a new destination.

Where did the hero of our paragraphs play in the fifth season?

This player was chosen by Triplets in the Draft Pool 2022. He got a chance to play with his older brother Jannero. The targets of the team were big since they had in their squad Joe Johnson. Joe is considered the best player that has ever played in the Big3.

Joe retired in the middle of the season. It was a big handicap for the roster. Unfortunately, this team provided bad performances during the 2022 season. Triplets finished the season with a 2-4 score and took 11th place.

In the end, we can say that Jeremy marked a certain era in NBA and Big3 with his winning mentality. Pargo’s winning mentality consists of persistent training and dedication to the sport.

We will not make a false statement by claiming that he has a lot of time ahead of him.

His space for improvement is still big. There is no doubt that Jeremy can become a bigger star in the upcoming period. Focus is required of him and nothing is impossible then.
