How did Jarret start his career?

Jarret played at Georgia Tech during his college days. Jack was leading this team in his sophomore year to the big final of the NCAA. Jarret Jack averaged 12.5 points and 5.1 assists. This player scored 15.5 points, made 4.8 rebounds, and had 4.5 assists per game in his junior year. The hero of our paragraphs sacrificed his senior year for participating in the NBA draft.

Jarret decided to attend NBA Draft in 2005 and his choice was good. He was chosen by the Denver Nuggets with the 22nd pick. Jack was sent right away to Portland. Jarret Jack was part of an exchange that included Portland’s 27th pick Jonas Kleiza and 35th pick Ricky Sanchez.

How was his time in Portland?

His opportunity to play in his debut season in NBA was limited. Steve Blake and Sebastian Telfair were his competition for the point guard position. Blake was sent to Milwaukee and Telfair was transferred to Boston Celtics. Jarret Jack used their absence and got a chance to be in the first line-up.

Coach Nate McMillan picked him as the first option for the position of shooting guard in the 2006/2007 season. Unfortunately, Blake returned for the next season in Portland, and Jack’s minutes decreased again.
