Power was the champion once, and Trilogy was the winner of the league twice. The final was played in Atlanta on August 22, 2022. The decisive game was held in Atlanta, Georgia in front of a high number of spectators. Trilogy and Power played for the title on Sunday.
The Trilogy started making a higher point difference when it was 16-10.
Isaiah Briscoe from Trilogy was very aggressive and explosive from the beginning of the game. Power didn’t allow Trilogy to make a bigger advance in their favor. Isaiah was scoring from three-point range, making layups, and penetrating through the defense of Power how he wanted. Earl Clark, his teammate, also was inspired and Power didn’t have a solution on how to defend him.
However, Trilogy was leading only 25-21 at halftime.
In the start of second half, Power succeeded to reduce the deficit to only one point. But, then things started to get worse and worse for this team. Nancy Liebermann, Power’s coach, couldn’t calm down her players. They were getting nervous as time passed by. The Trilogy started playing tougher defense and was blocking layups successfully.
In closing moments of the match, the result was 49-35 in favor of Trilogy. Isaiah Briscoe courageously tried layup for the trophy and made it. Trilogy won against Power with 51-35. They clinched third title in their history. You can watch full game here:
