The final of the fifth season of Big3 is tomorrow

After nine weeks of constant 3×3 basketball in the USA, the time for the big final game has come. We saw interesting clashes in the recent period, but the most important is of course the game between the best two teams this season. They are Trilogy and Power. Let’s see briefly which two matchups and four players can decide to battle for the champion.

First is a matchup between good scorers Isaiah Briscoe and Glen Rice Jr.

Isaiah Briscoe, the Trilogy player, has a mix of focus, strength, and soft touch. Those are enabling him to make layups consistently. Isaiah is very dangerous inside the paint and his team is relying very much on his penetrations. Briscoe can score from outside the paint with his 29% from the three-point range. It’s nothing special but maybe this segment of his play starts working in the final.

The tactic for defending him is very clear- keep him far from paint. Though, it’s very difficult to execute that.

Glen Rice Jr, a Power star, was one of the best shooters from outside during this season. Glen is simply too skillful for shots from different positions. Rice Jr is very confident in contact with other players and it’s not strange for him to use his physical strength.

One of the good methods of defending him is to force him to pass the ball as much as possible.

The second matchup is between excellent swingmen Earl Clark and TJ Cline.

Earl Clark, the player of Trilogy shows great performances in defense this season. His specific and unpredictable way of defending his rim is interesting for spectators. Earl blocks opposing players from different angles, from behind, and side. Clark is one of the favorites to win the award Big3 2022 Defensive player of the year award.

His duties are not limited only to this part of the play. This player isready to score from long range, make a tricky layout, or nice dunk.

TJ Cline, NancyLiebermann’s son, is shining this season for Power. We can say that Cline is moving constantly without the ball and seeking open spaces on the courts. TJ can also score from distance, especially if he is alone and has open shot.

Son of a famous women’s coach adapted so well in his debut season. His all-around activity on the court and fast thinking is unbelievable and fascinating.
