The culmination of the 2022 World Tour is very close. Before that, spectators are expecting Hong Kong Masters which is a qualification tournament for the final Masters in Abu Dhabi.
Cebu, the Philippines team, has a strong desire to participate in the capital of the United Arab Emirates at the end of the 2022 season. They won Chooks-to-Go-Pilipinas 3×3 Quest 2.0 and qualified for Hong Kong Masters.
Cebu needs to win in Hong Kong on November 26, 2022 – November 27, 2022, to be able to compete in Abu Dhabi. It will be a hard challenge for them if know the fact that strong teams will take part next weekend. Those are Ub, Liman, Antwerp, Vienna, Riga, Amsterdam, Saskia, Ulaanbaatar, Beijing, Kaohsiung, Yogyakarta Goji, and four Hong Kong teams.
Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas is a professional national 3×3 basketball league in the Philippines. This was the fourth season and contained eight teams divided into two groups, four teams per each. All games of the tournament were played on November, 20.
Cebu, Butuan, Botolan, and Makati competed in group A. Cebu and Butuan qualified for the semifinal in an interesting contest.
Manila, Talisay, Quezon City, and Gensan participated in pool B. Manila and Talisay earned tickets for the tournament’s Top 4.
In the first semifinal, Cebu convincingly defeated Talisay with 21-6. Manila beat Butuan with 21-15.
The final game was played between Cebu and Manila, two compatriots. Cebu had a 19-12 advantage before Manila scored 4 points and reduced the deficit. Cebu added one more point to their account, but their rival responded with two points.
Cebu pulled out a 20-18 victory over Manila in the end. They won the trophy and kept their dreams to play in Abu Dhabi alive.
Mac Tallo, Cebu player, was the leading scorer in the game for first place with 9 points.
