All you want to know about Big3 team Power

Power has participated in Fireball from season 1 and has been involved in all Big3 actions. It has established itself as a recognizable symbol of American 3×3 basketball by forming its own identity over the past four seasons.

Power can thank for that to its’ coach, players they have signed, and of course results on the court. We will introduce you to important happenings in this team in their history over the next couple of paragraphs.

When the Power was created?

Team Power was found on March 29, 2017. Fan favorites and ex-Nba stars Corey Maggette and Cuttino Mobley joined the squad of Power in the summer of 2017.

In which way Power team was founded?

Corey Maggette and Cuttino Mobley had the right to choose three additional players on Big3 Combine to make the roster of the team complete. A combine is a skills contest and opportunity for players to compete for entering the teams.

It’s a very intensive and physically demanding competition so only the best players were at Combine. Later Power chose from players who progressed through Combine to draft pool.

Who made the Power team?

Corey, Cuttino, and coach Clyde Drexler chose three players from the draft pool. Clyde Drexler was already commissioner of Fireball and he led all major long-term strategic activities of Big3.

The first pick for Power from the draft was Jerome Williams, the second was DeShawn Stevenson, and the third was Moochie Norris. Corey Maggette was appointed as a captain, while Cuttino Mobley had a co-captain role.

Who were the players that made up the team in the first season?

Cuttino Mobley left a big mark in Houston Rockets as a shooting guard  during his Nba career. Corey Maggette is most famous for his La Clippers days in NBA competition and he was small forward and shooting guard.

Jerome Williams aka “Junk Yard Dog” hold the power forward position and had the best NBA season in Toronto if we talk about scoring abilities.

DeShawn Stevenson won the NBA ring with Dallas in 2011 and he was a shooting guard. Finally, Moochie Norris spend the majority of his NBA career in Houston as a point guard.

What were the individual traits of these players?

Corey Maggette is recognizable as a versatile and consistent player. His rebounds, points, and assists can help any team on their road to glory. Cuttino Mobley aka” Cat” has a very unpredictable post-up game and he is famous for his three-point skills.

Jerome Williams’s biggest virtue is the ability to play good defense and his rebounds can contribute to the good results of his team.

DeShawn Stevenson also had defensive skills and he was able to score three points shoots when necessary.

Moochie was invited because he could score decisive shots and contributed to the team’s success with incredible energy.

What was the ranking of Power in their first season?

Power had a really good squad by evaluations of experts in that first season. They finished the regular part of the season with a 4-4 score. Power was a third-placed team in the standings after eight rounds.

Power lost semifinal game in Top Four competition against Three Headed Monsters with 50-46. Clyde Drexler’s team played a match for third place against Ghost Ballers in which they also got defeated with 52-39. Fourth place in a debut season for Power made high expectations for upcoming seasons.

Which players played for Power in Fireball’s second season?

Cuttino Mobley and Corey Maggette stayed in Power for the second season and Glen” Big Baby” Davis came to play with them.

” Big Baby” won the Nba title with Boston in 2008 and he is very strong on the court, so Glen can make easy buckets for the team.

In the first round of the 2018 draft, Power picked Chris Anderson aka “Birdman”. Chris was playing as a center and power forward.

Power chose Quentin Richardson as their second option and they counted he can score a lot of three points shots.

The third player who came from draft to Power was a power forward Ryan Gomes with a significant NBA career.

Who was in charge of Power in the second season?

Nancy Lieberman aka “Lady Magic” replaced Clyde Drexler before the start of the second season in 2018. She became the first female coach in a men’s professional sports league. Nancy created a family atmosphere in the squad from the first moment.

How did the roster of Power look in the third season?

Power did not have a chance to pick any new player as they were current champions at that time. Despite that, this team managed to keep all six players from season two. Another precious thing about that roster was experience gained from the previous season in which Power learned to win decisive games.

Power was defeated against Killer 3’s with 50-42 in the semifinal. Power lost the game for third place against 3 Headed Monsters also with 50-42. Fourth place was a little disappointing for them after winning the season one year earlier. Power players were not the best in any statistic parameter and did not win any individual award in the third season.

Which players were forming the squad of Power in season 4?

Power picked Dusan Bulut from Round 1 of the draft pool in 2021, and Joe Alexander from Round 2. Royce White also joined team Power.  Power lost Corey Maggette, while Julian Wright and Quentin Richardson did not come back to this team ahead of season 4. Cuttino Mobley and Glen “Big Baby” Davies stayed in the squad.

Dusan Bulut aka “BulletProof” already established himself as a high-quality player within European borders. Joe Alexander played as a power forward and he had a brief spell in NBA in Milwaukee and Chicago. Royce White was recognizable for his passing abilities and versatility as a playmaking forward. Darnell Jackson, former member of some NBA teams, also strengthened squad becoming part of Nancy’s vision for the 2021 season.

Which result had Power in the fourth season?

Bulut started to play in the middle of the season because of some issues he had with papers and his appearance in Olympic Games. Power had four wins and four losses outside the playoffs.

They, unfortunately, didn’t qualify for the final 4. According to the opinion of Big3 experts, BulletProof was the best player on the team. He scored 19.2 points on average per game.

Which players strengthened the Power squad ahead of the 2022 season?

Royce White and Cuttino Mobley stayed loyal to Power for the fifth season of Big3. Nikoloz Tskitihisvili, the Georgian player, was attending Combine in 2021. Nancy Liebermann, Power’s coach, noticed his versatility and brought him to the roster.

Glen Rice Jr was picked in the first round of Draft Pool 2022. This shooting guard and small forward had a mainly international career and spent two years with Washington Wizards.

TJ Cline, Nancy’s son, was chosen in the second round in the summer draft. His career took him to Europe. Cline had good performances in Israel and that recommended him to the Big3 league. Coach’s son is capable to assist and his basketball intelligence is evident in this man.

How successful was the team in the fifth season of Fireball?

Power ended the 2022 season with five wins and three defeats. This team qualified for the contest of the best four teams. Liebermann’s team defeated Three Headed Monsters with 51-49 in the semifinal. Power can be content and glad about the progress they made. It seems that this team will have a bright future in Fireball.

What’s the secret of a Power’s winning culture?

Power has a winning culture because the strategy of that team has always been creating good chemistry between coach and players and making life-long friendships outside of the court. All players who played at least one season in Power can confirm that fact.
